About me
I am a fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist and counsellor with experience working across a wide range of therapeutic settings.
Before training as a therapist, I enjoyed a successful career in business. At the age of 42, following the part-sale of my business, I chose to retrain and move into psychotherapy — a decision grounded in a long-standing interest in people, relationships, and the complexities of human experience.
During my clinical training, I worked in a variety of settings including sexual health services, a GP practice, and within the prison system. These experiences allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, sexualities, genders, cultures, religions, and relationship structures. My work has included individual therapy, couples therapy, and group work.
As a therapist, I believe in being engaged, thoughtful, and collaborative. I offer professional expertise while recognising that every client is unique, with their own experiences, values, and way of understanding the world. Together, we explore the dilemmas, challenges, and questions that life inevitably brings.
Therapy may be short-term and focused, or longer-term and exploratory, depending on your needs and what you would like from the process.
Although therapy can at times feel challenging, it can also be deeply rewarding — offering insight, clarity, connection, and moments of humour and discovery along the way.
